The flexible labour market

How can we keep good, experienced employees!

A number of factors, like illness, social issues and lack of integration mean that many employees lose their links to the labour market. Most companies make some form of organised effort to retain their workers, but there is often considerable uncertainty as to how to go about it and what options are available.

We offer consultancy and instruction on the concept of “the flexible labour market”, with a focus on:

  • Preventing workers from being forced to leave the labour market because of illness, age, reduced ability to work, etc.
  • Retaining the link to the labour market of those who are absent because of illness, wear and tear, etc.
  • Integrating new employees who may find it difficult to enter the labour market

Prevention

A workplace evaluation is the first step in analysing company needs, and can form the basis for concrete activities and solutions with preventive aims.
One preventive solution is the instruction of key persons in the company who can act as “detectives” of workers threatened with exclusion, thus ensuring early remedial efforts.

Keeping people employed

We help:

  • Put focus on, and change attitudes to absence due to illness and other types of absences
  • Create specific guidelines for keeping people employed
  • Advise on policies and agreements for senior employees

Personal and job profiles can be prepared to aid in ensuring that the person on sick leave can gradually return to the workplace. This also means an effort aimed at the department or group of colleagues in question so that all are able to relate to and understand the value of maintaining the link to the labour market.

Integration

A significant factor in the flexible labour market is the integration of new employees. This may be people with diminished working capacity, persons from other ethnic groups, etc. We assist in matching jobs to persons in order to achieve the best possible integration in the workplace.
